The American Revolution was a major turn point in American History. The main question is what started this revolution? The seven-year war caused the Parliament to reconsider their primary revenues to be more beneficial to their large national debt. The rioting and rebellions started from multiple acts being implemented on the colonists, whom did not approve these laws.

They decided that it was time to take action against Britain rather just moaning to their neighbors about how corrupt Britain is, so the Stamp Act Congress was established in These were boycotts by the colonies in response to the Stamp Act. This paved the way for colonists to blatantly defy British rule. The sugar and stamp acts were taxes places on the sugar and stamped goods that the colonist bought. After the stamp act was passed nine American colonies gathered in order to ask all colonies to stop buying stamped goods, they called themselves the Stamp Act congress.
In the Stamp Act was repealed. The king and the Parliament both agreed that the Stamp Act was a bad idea but still felt that the colonists needed to be taxed. The Parliament then put out the Declatory Act which asserts the right to tax Britain including all of its colonies. Since Parliament felt that the Colonists still needed to be taxed, the Townshend Revenue Act of conceived by Charles Townshend was passed.
